Here's a photo
of Victory Torso as a work in progress. The green canvas tool
pouch at the left holds steel chisels and an iron hammer. The large
brush is used for clearing dust and chips off the piece and the workbench.
A grey plastilina maquette on a wooden board (a small model of the
finished piece) is visible just to the left of the piece and over
the tools. The tools for hand carving haven't changed very much for
1000 years. The view of the hills inspires me when I look up from
